Ayurveda [ah-yer-vey-duh]- Is an ancient science from India, the birthplace of yoga. It encompasses guidance for both medical, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual practices.

Pulled from the Vedic texts, thought to be over 5,000 years old, the system strives to guide the whole person towards health and wellness through a balanced diet, activity and work life customized according to their ‘Dosha’. Ayurveda teaches there are 3 Dosha types; Vata, Pita and Kapha. Each person will have a main Dosha body/mind type that governs them-although we have some of all in each of us.

Take this test to discover your Dosha!

Ayurveda recommends a seasonal cleansing, purification, and renewal process in which we eliminate whatever physical and emotional toxicities we have accumulated, allowing our mind-body to return to a natural state of balance and health. After we’ve released the stored toxins that prevent the free flow of energy and information throughout our entire physiology, we can engage in practices of rejuvenation that nurture our vitality and wellbeing.

An Ayurvedic Cleanse…

  • Supports the elimination of toxins from the body

  • Increases energy and vitality

  • Supports healthy weight management

  • Relaxes the nervous system and calms the mind

  • Helps to reestablish one's natural state of balance

  • Promotes optimal health and well-being

Preparing for the new growth and blooms of spring includes removing the settlement that naturally compiles in our bodies during the cold months. Organ and tissue detoxing can easily be generated at home with diet & tea cleanses or sweat purging with hot baths or vigorous exercise. Those seeking supported detox programs can enhance their cleanses with far-infrared saunas, hydrotherapy spa skin treatments or colon hydrotherapy treatments.

At our Yoga Detox Spring Retreat we are utilizing the shifting power of the Spring Equinox to cleanse and restore balance in our sluggish winter bodies.

Join us Sunday March 31, 10am-2pm as we begin our retreat with setting new seasonal intentions, followed by a detox yoga asana practice and crystal singing bowl sound bath to declutter mental stress. An Ayurvedic detox lunch of kitchari and herbal tea (tri-doshic) will be served. Detox specialist and colon hydrotherapist, Brenda Lundahl, will be speaking on how our bodies detox and cleanse safely and holistically. We hope to see you there! Namaste.

Be Well,
