Ayurveda [ah-yer-vey-duh]- Is an ancient science from India, the birthplace of yoga. It encompasses guidance for both medical, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual practices.
Pulled from the Vedic texts, thought to be over 5,000 years old, the system strives to guide the whole person towards health and wellness through a balanced diet, activity and work life customized according to their ‘Dosha’. Ayurveda teaches there are 3 Dosha types; Vata, Pita and Kapha. Each person will have a main Dosha body/mind type that governs them-although we have some of all in each of us.

Organ and tissue detoxing can easily be generated at home with diet & tea cleanses or sweat purging with hot baths or vigorous exercise. At our Yoga Detox Spring Retreat we are utilizing the shifting power of the Spring Equinox to cleanse and restore balance in our sluggish winter bodies.
Join us Sunday March 31, 10am-2pm as we begin our retreat with setting new seasonal intentions, followed by a detox yoga asana practice and crystal singing bowl sound bath to declutter mental stress. An Ayurvedic detox lunch of kitchari and herbal tea (tri-doshic) will be served.
